About Christy J. Kendall

I love to walk and hike. I enjoy the outdoors and had a wonderful career with the US Fish and Wildlife Service where I had lots of opportunities to enjoy nature.

I write about people who have a killer passion for wildlife and wild places.

BIOGRAPHY

 After starting college in her thirties and graduating from New Mexico State University with a Master of Science in wildlife studies, she served as a Wildlife Biologist, Refuge Manager, and Project Leader at multiple wildlife refuges across the country with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for twenty-five years. During those years she grew to love and understand the employees, volunteers, and non-profit organizations who gave their time and money to support conservation. In the genre of mystery, and through fictional characters, she tells their stories. 

She began following her wildlife career after her husband served twenty years in the U.S. Army and retired. She has two beautiful daughters, two granddaughters, and two grandsons. She lives with her husband Gary in Washington with a cat named Charlie and a dog named Gemma.
