After starting college in her thirties and graduating from New Mexico State University with a Master of Science in wildlife studies, Christy J. Kendall served as a Wildlife Biologist, Refuge Manager, and Project Leader at multiple wildlife refuges across the country with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for twenty-five years. During those years she grew to love and understand the employees, volunteers, and non-profit organizations who gave their time and money to support conservation. In the genre of mystery, and through fictional characters, she tells their stories.
A former military wife, Christy began following her wildlife career after her husband served twenty years in the U.S. Army and retired. Christy has two beautiful daughters, two granddaughters, and two grandsons. She lives with her husband Gary in Washington with a cat named Charlie and a dog named Gemma.
